The timeless masterpiece movie 'The Castle of Sand' (1974) will be specially screened in Kamedake, Okuizumo Town, Shimane Prefecture, which served as the setting for the film. Along with the main feature film, this screening event also features a concurrent panel exhibition (free admission) to gain a deeper understanding of 'The Castle of Sand' and Okuizumo. The venue is Kamedake Onsen Tamamine Sanso (Tamamine Exchange Facility), with two screenings held on Saturday, October 17, 2026. The first screening is from 13:30 (doors open at 13:00), and the second is from 17:00 (doors open at 16:30), with audience rotation after each screening. Capacity is 100 people per screening. Tickets are 1,500 yen for general admission and 1,000 yen for high school students and younger (tax included), available for purchase at Kamedake Onsen Tamamine Sanso or the Kamedake Tourism and Cultural Association.
