About this event
The event "Machinaka Art Museum 2026" will be held, treating the town of Soja as a museum without walls to create time for experiencing art and culture in everyday life. The entire town of Soja becomes an art space with historic buildings, small shrines and large trees nestled in back alleys, and art works fitting seamlessly inside local shops. While strolling through town, when you pause your steps, an artwork is right there, allowing you to experience artworks gently integrated into familiar storefronts or buildings you may have been curious about. You can spend time at your own pace taking side trips, such as slowly walking along corridors while reading haiku, viewing sunlight filtering through trees, or enjoying a cup of tea while admiring rows of old houses. Please enjoy encountering artworks layered onto daily life in Soja, just like reading the first chapter of a story.
