42nd Bizen Ware Festival

About this event

This is a major event in Bizen City where you can fully appreciate the appeal of Bizen ware, which boasts history and tradition. Works infused with the dedication of Bizen ware artists gather in one place, allowing you to enjoy finding your own special pottery. Held annually on the third Sunday of October and the preceding Saturday, approximately 100,000 pottery lovers gather over the two days, enlivening the entire town. At member stores of the Bizen Pottery Association and special venues, products by association members are exhibited and sold at a 20% discount off the list price. It is a festival of the pottery village where you encounter ceramics and meet the artisans.
