Special Event! Running Clinic by a World Athletics Competitor

About this event

A special running event co-hosted by the Shoo Town Board of Education and the General Incorporated Association Shoo Shien Association will be held. Welcoming Kazufumi Kimura—a former professional athlete, U20 Japan Championships winner, world championship participant, and Kagawa prefecture 400m record holder—as the instructor, this fun and easy-to-understand lesson teaches "correct posture" and "tips for cool running form" that anyone can put into practice immediately. After retiring from competitive sports, Mr. Kimura became an independent Shine Muscat grape farmer; he will share the importance of persistence and the power to take on challenges cultivated through sports and agriculture. Participation is limited to the first 30 families on a first-come, first-served basis, so early registration is required. As it is a hot season, please take strict precautions against heatstroke. The event will proceed in rainy weather, but contents and venue may change. In case of severe stormy weather, the event will be canceled. If outdoor activities become difficult, activities will take place indoors (Workers' Gymnasium), requiring participants to bring indoor gym shoes. In the event of severe weather or transit disruptions that prevent the instructor from arriving, the event may be canceled or the program changed. Please be sure to check the Shoo Town official website by 12:00 PM on the event day for confirmation of the event status before heading to the venue.
