About this event
A solo performance by Master Ryutei Kochiraku, currently the most talked-about rakugo performer in the Edo rakugo scene, will be held at Shoo Cultural Hall. Master Ryutei Kochiraku, well known from NHK Radio 1's "Kochiraku no Gakuya Zomeki," who captivates audiences with his lighthearted and skillful storytelling, will appear in Shoo Town. This performance will follow an authentic yose theater format, progressing from zenza (opening act) to futatsume (second rank) and shin'uchi (headliner), with an intermission before the shin'uchi takes the stage. It will be an evening to fully relish the world of Master Ryutei Kochiraku, presenting the "Edo-style storytelling" that was also featured in last year's Taiga drama "Berabou," set on the stage of Shoo Cultural Hall. It is a rare opportunity to savor the profound depth and entertainment of rakugo.
