Having gone viral in Tokyo and attracting a cumulative total of 10,000 visitors, the 'Grand Yankee Exhibition' lands at Hiroshima PARCO as its first holding in western Japan. This event is packed with exhibits where you can realistically experience Showa-era Yankee culture. In addition to actual exhibits of 'customized school uniforms,' 'tokkofuku,' and 'customized motorcycles' that captivated youth of that era, a meticulously detailed 'Yankee room' is fully recreated. There is plenty of interactive content beyond just viewing, including commemorative photo opportunities actually trying on gakuran and tokkofuku, as well as photo spots straddling customized motorized scooters and customized bicycles. Furthermore, official collaborations with the national anime 'Heidi, Girl of the Alps' and 'Nameko' that sparked a boom in the 1980s have been realized, allowing visitors to enjoy unique photo shoots with characters dressed in Yankee fashion. Event-original character 'Mabu & Tomo' merchandise, re-releases of popular items previously sold out, and new merchandise will also appear for shopping enjoyment. It is an event where visitors across generations can experience nostalgic yet fresh 'Yankee culture.'
