About this event
This triathlon tournament features athletes competing against the clock in swimming, biking, and running set against Hokkaido's majestic nature. The course is designed to let participants fully enjoy everything Hokkaido has to offer, including swimming in the crystal-clear freshwater of Lake Toya, biking along roads that extend endlessly toward the horizon, and running while feeling the breeze blowing across the lake's surface. Aiming for the coexistence of the local community and sports, participants can experience a new style of triathlon. Set around Lake Toya and the foot of Mount Yotei, the grand-scale race inspires not only participants but also spectators. Distances are set at 2 km for the swim, 136.9 km or 91.7 km for the bike, and 23.1 km for the run, allowing athletes to choose according to their skill level. Duathlon categories are also available. Eligibility requires participants to be fully capable of self-management, able to comply with organizers' instructions and road traffic laws, and to be registered members of the Japan Triathlon Union for the 2026 fiscal year (except for bike & run). A pre-race technical briefing is held on the day before the event and attendance is mandatory. Entries are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, with the application period running from February 1 to July 5, 2026.
