About this event

Kurukuru Net, a specified non-profit organization supporting children's places and learning in Muroran City, Hokkaido, is organizing the 'Sobetsu Fruit Picking Parent-Child Bus Tour' for children and child-rearing families. Departing from Kuru House in Muroran City, this bus tour centers on fruit picking in Sobetsu Town—one of Hokkaido's leading fruit-producing areas—and visits the Silo Observation Deck overlooking Lake Toya, as well as Lake Hill Farm. Through the experience of harvesting fruit themselves, children can feel a close connection to 'eating' and 'nature and agriculture.' Fruit picking is scheduled from around 10:30 to 12:00 as free time that also serves as lunch. Afterward, the tour visits the Silo Observation Deck to enjoy panoramic views of Lake Toya, followed by walking around and shopping at Lake Hill Farm. Participation is free for children and 500 yen per adult, providing an opportunity for children to connect with local nature and tourism resources while keeping the financial burden on households low. Children can also participate on their own if guardians are unable to attend. This event aims to deliver new experiences and fun memories to children while creating time for parents and children to spend together.
