In Toyoura Town, Hokkaido, commemorative events will be held to mark the 10th anniversary of the maintenance and management of Koboro Station on the Muroran Main Line. On Saturday, October 24, 2026, a special exhibition and commemorative forum will take place at Towani Hall. Admission to the exhibition is free, featuring a newly created 1/150 scale diorama of Koboro Station, a panel exhibition titled 'The History and Future of Koboro,' and an exhibition of approximately 60 winning and past selected works from the photo contest. The forum will feature a screening of the new drone aerial footage 'Beautiful Koboro,' an award ceremony for the 10th anniversary photo contest winners, a talk on 'The Charm of Koboro' by nonfiction writer Kazufumi Watanabe, and a railway cultural figures panel discussion. In addition to Kazufumi Watanabe, the discussion panel is scheduled to include railway photographer and former professional baseball player Kaname Yashiki, Oigawa Railway President Akira Torizuka, Tsuzuri Watanabe of the local Board of Education, and announcer Tomomi Kuno. On the evening of the same day, a paid 'Commemorative Networking Party' requiring prior registration will also be held.
