16th Akira Otsu Youth Music Festival

About this event

This music festival conveys the charm of songs by the late lyricist Akira Otsu, a native of Nagato City. It will be held at the Yamaguchi Prefectural Theater Renaissance Nagato on Sunday, September 13, 2026. Doors open at 14:00, and the performance begins at 14:30. Admission is 800 yen for general admission (free for high school students and younger). In Part 1, a chorus by Senzaki Elementary School pupils and Chihiro, a solo performance by Chihiro, Choeur Dolce, a guitar performance by Ken Makita, and performances by Kenji Seki and others will be presented. In Part 2, there will be performances by Raku Raku Dan + Hagi Wind Orchestra Summer Oranges + Urusenger, and Mountain Mercy, ending with a chorus of "Kagayakina-gara" by all participants. The event is organized by the General Incorporated Association Akira Otsu Memorial Society and co-organized by the Nagato City Cultural Promotion Foundation. It is supported by Nagato City, the Nagato City Board of Education, and yab Yamaguchi Asahi Broadcasting.
