Life gets interesting from the 8th station. This movie is an inspiring true story depicting the life of Junko Tabei, who became the first woman to successfully summit Mount Everest in 1975. Featuring a star-studded cast including Sayuri Yoshinaga, Non, Yuki Amami, and Koichi Sato, they powerfully portray a figure facing life's hardships while always living positively through the pursuit of reaching the mountain summit (teppen). What did Junko, who continued to brighten those around her with the philosophy "laugh especially when times are hard" even after receiving a terminal diagnosis in her later years, see beyond the summit at the very end? Her way of life as a mountaineer, a mother, a wife, and a human being is depicted. The morning screening is from 10:30 AM and the afternoon screening is from 1:30 PM, with the afternoon session available with Japanese subtitles.
