The "12th Mukawa Gourmet Festa," held in Mukawa Town, Hokkaido, is a gourmet event held ahead of the Shishamo Smelt Festival. It is scheduled to be held on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at the Mukawa Town Office parking lot from 9:30 to 15:00 (planned). Approximately 18 food booths are scheduled to open, offering a variety of delicious treats. Additionally, the "Surf Clam Catching Championship" will be held, with 16 pairs participating in each of the children's and adult divisions; participants will receive surf clams (hokkigai), and top winners will receive prizes.
