About this event
The "Nio Hassaku Doll Festival," held in Nio-cho, Mitoyo City, Kagawa Prefecture, is a nationally rare event where colorful dolls vividly adorn the town of Nio, where traditional townscapes remain. Famous scenes from history and fairy tales are recreated on miniature miniature-garden-style stages using stones, sand, plants, and trees at storefronts and zashiki rooms. Visitors can touch upon the region's history and culture while immersing themselves in the delicately crafted diorama world.
