At the summit of Mount Hoshigajo in Shodoshima Town, the Azukishima Shrine Annual Festival is held, dedicating rituals to the deity Shodoshima Shinmei Oonudehime. This festival is an important ritual that marks the beginning of the autumn festivals held in various regions across the island. Through sacred ceremonies conducted at the summit of Mount Hoshigajo and the Kasa-baiden of Kankakei Gorge, local traditions and faith are passed down.
