The '39th Nakayama Chestnut Festival' will be held with the aim of boosting the image of the specialty Nakayama chestnuts, promoting interaction between urban and rural areas, and revitalizing the local community. At the venue, there will be plenty of programs to fully enjoy chestnuts, including a 'Chestnut Gathering Contest' for children up to 3rd grade of elementary school, 'Chestnut Grabbing' (200 yen per turn), and a Chestnut Fruit Exhibition (awards ceremony and auction). In addition, bazaar stalls by various organizations in the city will be lined up, making it an event where visitors can fully enjoy a refreshing autumn day in nature-rich Nakayama-cho.
