About this event
An autumn evening moon-viewing event to stroll through the Unomachi townscape illuminated by the moon and andon lanterns. Soft lantern light envelops the historic streets, allowing visitors to enjoy food and drink, hands-on experiences, and live musical performances in a mystical atmosphere. At 'Yururian', the gourmet venue where local delicacies gather, you can savor draft beer, jakoten (fried fish patties), takoyaki, and more. Experience booths produced by Uwa High School students will also appear, featuring moon-viewing photos, rabbit mask making, and moonlight slime crafting. Additionally, restaurants offering special moon-viewing menus, as well as sales of moon-viewing dango (rice dumplings) and sake, will be available. Attractions include mini lectures with moon observation sessions, a Night School/Night Museum, mini andon lantern making with Senkashi paper, mandarin orange juice from a faucet, and kimono rental with dressing. Live performances will feature classical guitar and koto, alongside hands-on koto playing experiences.
