Japanese name:大川村謝肉祭
📅 Tue, Nov 3, 2026
About this event
Held every year in Okawa Village, the 'Okawa Village Carnival (Okawa Village Shanikusai)' is a food culture promotion event where visitors can savor the rare 'phantom beef' Okawa Black Cattle (only about 50 head produced annually) and Kochi Prefecture's brand chicken 'Tosa Hachikin Jidori'. This festival aims to widely share the rich culinary appeal of Okawa Village, allowing visitors to enjoy dishes made with local ingredients. In addition to the food, Okawa Village's ancient traditional performing art 'Okawa Village Hanatori Tachi Dance' will be performed, providing a valuable opportunity to experience the local culture. Through this event, visitors can fully enjoy the culinary and cultural charms of Okawa Village.
