A major event in Kokuraminami Ward, Kitakyushu City, 'Matsuri Minami 2026' will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Shii Park. This festival is packed with fun activities including fireworks and dancing. Food trucks and street stalls will be set up at the venue, allowing visitors to savor festival gourmet foods. In addition, exhibition and product sales corners will be set up, making it an event that a wide range of age groups from children to adults can enjoy. From around 19:30, the entire venue will come together in excitement around the yagura stage with mass dancing to songs such as 'Kokuraminami Ondo' and 'Tanko Bushi.'
