About this event

This is a representative summer event of the Keichiku region held in Yukuhashi City, Fukuoka Prefecture. The event name "Kosumoppe" comes from cosmos flowers, the official flower of Yukuhashi City. The main event of the festival, the fireworks display, is held along the Imagawa River flowing through the center of the city, where approximately 2,500 fireworks color the night sky. The fast-paced production featuring continuous fireworks and set-piece fireworks is captivating, and the view of the fireworks launched from the banks of the Imagawa River reflecting on the water surface is truly exceptional. In addition to the fireworks display, various events are planned across different parts of the city, with many food stalls lining the banks of the Imagawa River, along with stage performances, a free flea market, and citizen-wide dancing. Some fireworks are set-piece displays that ignite close to the ground, offering a thrilling experience. Being able to view the fireworks up close from the riverbed is another major highlight. The event will be held rain or shine, but may be cancelled in the event of severe weather.
