The 'SAGA Local Grand Networking Event Vol. 1: Kashima Edition' will be held to co-create the future of community building. This event aims to explore hints for sustaining resident-led 'spontaneous community building' activities in Saga Prefecture and passing them on to the next generation. Welcoming practitioners active on the front lines of the region as guests, attendees can hear real stories including not only success stories but also hardships and failures. It is a great opportunity to learn from initiatives in other regions and gain inspiration for new activities. Those interested in community development, those looking to start something new, as well as high school and university students are welcome to participate. In the seminar, practical insights will be shared on themes such as '90% Failure: Sustainable Community Development Seen Precisely by Migrants' and 'Seven Falls, Eight Rises: Learning from the Reality and Behind-the-Scenes Stories of Community Building in Hizen Hamashuku and Kashima.' Afterwards, a grand networking party where speakers and participants can interact directly is scheduled, with light meals and drinks (including alcohol) provided. Lively exchanges of opinions regarding the launch and sustainability of community building are expected.
