About this event
The Saga Prefectural Art Exhibition aims to provide the prefectural citizens with wide opportunities for art appreciation by publicly soliciting creative works and displaying pieces selected through rigorous judging, contributing to the advancement and development of the prefecture's art culture with its brilliant traditions. Works are accepted in seven categories: Japanese painting, Western painting, sculpture, crafts, calligraphy, photography, and design. Entries are open to junior high school students and older who reside in, attend school in, or are originally from Saga Prefecture. The entry processing fee is 3,000 yen for adults and 1,000 yen for high school students and younger. Submission of artworks takes place on Saturday, September 12 and Sunday, September 13, with judging conducted on Monday, September 14. The exhibition will be held across the entirety of Saga Prefectural Museum and Saga Prefectural Art Museum for 9 days from Saturday, September 19 to Sunday, September 27. It is open without holidays during the period from 9:30 to 18:00 (until 16:00 on the final day).
