The shichimensou (Suaeda japonica) plants clustering along the Higashiyoka Coast turn vibrant red in late autumn, serving as a seasonal hallmark of the Higashiyoka Tidal Flat. Why not spend a relaxing moment at the Ariake Sea tidal flat while viewing the shichimensou, often called the "autumn foliage of the sea"? This festival is held to widely introduce the local fisheries and commerce, promote tourism development, and revitalize the region.
