The "2026 Karatsu Sake Brewery Summit," gathering the best of Saga's sake, food, and pottery, will be held on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at Karatsu Gofukumachi Shopping Street. The event begins at 13:00 with an opening talk event titled "Yano Shuzo's Sake Brewing: Tradition and Lore - Thinking About Brewery Identity" by Motohide Yano, Representative Director and Toji (Master Brewer) of Yano Shuzo. This opening event offers free admission with no reservation required, and will be held at Yoshitsune no Yakata. The main event, the Karatsu Sake Brewery Summit, will be held from 14:00 to 17:00, bringing together 14 breweries from across the prefecture on Gofuku Enmusubi Street. Holding an original Karatsu ware choko cup, participants can savor proud Saga sake and delicious appetizers while speaking directly with each brewer. Advance tickets (4,500 yen for a 5-glass sake ticket) include a 500-yen shopping voucher for following on Instagram, an original choko cup and drawstring pouch, a 1,000-yen Enmusubi coupon usable in Gofukumachi Shopping Street, and a "Miyajima Shoyu" souvenir. Same-day tickets will be sold for 1,000 yen for a 3-glass sake ticket. It is an event where you can spend a blissful autumn day woven with Saga sake.
