1st Arita MONO NO SU Table Setting Contest 2026

About this event

This contest is a new format where table coordinators pair up one-on-one with Arita pottery kilns to create and exhibit works using the kilns' products. Furthermore, participants can take on the challenge of developing new products within specified guidelines, with royalties paid according to sales for one year after launch. Rather than a mere exhibition showcase, it serves as a practical contest to "create the future of Arita porcelain together with its production region," providing a place to freely express and propose the appeal of Arita porcelain and a lifestyle with Arita porcelain unique to you. Through collaboration with kilns, it is expected to be an opportunity to create one-of-a-kind Arita porcelain and a stepping stone for coordinators. At the venue, there is also a visitor perk of free drinks during the event period, allowing you to choose your favorite cup to enjoy. Seminars and workshops will also be held, providing hints on how to enjoy Arita porcelain and table coordination.
