About this event

Social Welfare Corporation Omura Kodomo no Ie was founded in September 1946 and marks its 80th anniversary this year. In commemoration of this, the special lecture "The Power of Empathy" will be held. In this lecture event, a commemorative video screening, a keynote speech titled "Repatriated Orphans in Sasebo from Manchuria (tentative title)", and a special lecture "My Postwar History" by singer Tokiko Kato will be conducted. Furthermore, a panel discussion is also scheduled, making it a valuable opportunity to pass down the history of repatriated orphans to future generations. Capacity is 500 people (first-come, first-served basis), and participation is free. Registration will close once capacity is reached.
