Sapporo Symphony Orchestra Makubetsu Concert 2026

A special concert held by the Sapporo Symphony Orchestra at the Makubetsu Town Centennial Memorial Hall. It will be held to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the opening of the Makubetsu Town Centennial Memorial Hall and the 40th anniversary of the founding of the NPO Makubetsu Town Citizen Art Theater. Conducted by Keita Matsui, the program features Rossini's Overture to the Opera "William Tell", Mascagni's Intermezzo from the Opera "Cavalleria Rusticana", Offenbach's Overture to the Operetta "Orpheus in the Underworld", and Dvorak's Symphony No. 9 in E minor, op.98 "From the New World". This is a rare opportunity to enjoy a series of magnificent pieces performed by the Hokkaido-based Sapporo Symphony Orchestra.
