Geo School 'Autumn Fossil Class'

Geo School 'Autumn Fossil Class', organized by Mifune Dinosaur Museum, is a hands-on experience program to excavate fossils slumbering in the Mifune Group from about 90 million years ago. Through fossil collecting, you can touch upon the memories of the ancient Earth. On the day of the event, geological stratum observation and explanations will be conducted first, followed by an actual attempt at fossil collecting. The collected fossils can also be examined by specialists at an appraisal session held at the museum for those who wish. The event is open to elementary school students and older, and is suitable for individuals and families. As this is an outdoor activity, clothing and belongings with safety considerations are required. A map to the fossil collecting location will be sent in advance by email. This class will be a valuable opportunity to feel the mystery and history of nature firsthand.
