Beppu Onsen Suginoi Hotel will host the "Minamitateishi 10-Town Joint Summer Bon Dance Festival" on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at the Ballroom Amber on the 2nd floor of Suginoi Palace. This event aims to revitalize the local community by providing an opportunity for local residents and hotel guests to deepen their interactions and feel Beppu's unique culture and connection with the region. In response to the challenge that the Bon Odori dance, cherished in the community for many years, has become difficult to continue due to a shortage of successors and an aging population, it was decided to hold it at the hotel to maintain and revitalize the local community. It serves as a place for local residents to deepen their interactions and is also an event in which overnight guests can participate, providing an opportunity to rediscover the charm of the region through the Bon Odori experience.
