An event where you can enjoy live demonstrations of making large bamboo baskets and musical performances amidst magically illuminated bamboo lanterns under the autumn moonlit sky. Held outdoors at the Beppu City Traditional Bamboo Crafts Center, it creates an evocative evening blending the beautiful scenery of bamboo lights, artisan demonstrations of crafting large bamboo baskets, and pleasant musical concerts. On the day of the event, the interior of the Traditional Bamboo Crafts Center will also be open for viewing at a special admission fee starting from 18:00, providing an opportunity to experience the art of bamboo craftsmanship. Please check the weather as the event will be cancelled in case of rain. Temporary parking is available for visitors arriving by car. This event offers a precious opportunity to fully enjoy bamboo culture, art, and the long autumn evening all at once.
