About this event
Originating from autumn festivals at various shrines praying for rich harvests of the five grains, the Ogata Gosenkoku Festival is celebrated today with portable shrines (mikoshi) from 15 shrines in the Ogata area being carried in all at once, accompanied by the Shirokuma, lion dances, and the Miyuki Festival. In addition, traditional performing arts such as Kagura and lion dances are dedicated, alongside performances of Ogata Akatsuki Taiko drums, making it a festival where visitors can fully experience the local traditional culture.
