'September 2026 Machinaka Jugoya' is an event held at Machinaka Plaza in Miyakonojo City, Miyazaki Prefecture, to enjoy long autumn nights. While admiring the harvest moon, you can enjoy live music performances and a diverse market. You can experience the long-standing customs of Jugoya in modern times, from appreciating poetry and music while gazing at the moon like the Heian period nobility, to feeling the harvest festival significance that spread among commoners during the Edo period. Spend a heart-filling time offering gratitude for this year's blessings while listening to music under the beautiful moonlight and savoring delicious gourmet food. The venue will feature a wide array of food stalls and food trucks, offering Miyakonojo tea and matcha lattes, specialty coffee, sake and shochu, Okinawan cuisine, Miyakonojo beef skewers, hamburgers, French hors d'oeuvres, galettes, Thai food, Korean food, sourdough bread, grilled dango dumplings, sweets, and more. With candle-making workshops and photo spots also available, it is an event to be enjoyed with all five senses.
