About this event
A special exhibition-related event at Miyakonojo Shimazu Heritage Museum, held to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the new city's establishment and the 1,000th anniversary of the founding of the Shimazu clan. It is a solo storytelling stage performance where actress Atsuko Asano emotionally recites the historical tale of Miyakonojo based on an original script themed on the 1,000th anniversary of the Shimazu origin. Live music performances will also be presented to further enhance the story. This performance is linked to the special exhibition focusing on the history of the Miyakonojo Shimazu clan and the new "Miyakonojo City," and historical materials related to the story of the performance will also be exhibited at the special exhibition.
