The "Gokase Star Party" will be held in Gokase Town, located at an elevation of about 600m in the heart of Kyushu, where you can fully enjoy a star-filled sky. With few streetlights in the surrounding area, the clear night sky boasts such beauty that the Milky Way is clearly visible. Hosted by the "Society for Protecting Kyushu's Starry Sky," this event offers workshops and explanations of constellations, nebulae, and planets by stargazing guides. Large telescopes, electronic telescopes, and projectors will be used, allowing even beginners to easily experience stargazing. It is a precious opportunity to forget the daily bustle, gaze at the magnificent glow of the Milky Way, and relish the night sky of nature-rich Gokase Town. With advance reservation, paid dinner and breakfast preparations as well as rental of necessary camping gear are also available.
