Nodago Summer Festival is a local festival held in Izumi City, Kagoshima Prefecture. Every year, local residents unite in excitement for this festival, which features events rich in local flavor, such as performances of the Nodago Shimazu Taiko and presentations of handmade children's mikoshi portable shrines. The finale of the festival is adorned by a powerful fireworks display that resonates through the body, bringing the venue to the height of excitement. In the event of stormy weather, only the fireworks are scheduled to be held on the following day. It is usually held on the third Saturday of August.
