In Miyama, Higashi-ichiki-cho, Hioki City, Kagoshima Prefecture—a 'town of craft'—artists and craftspeople welcome visitors with meticulously crafted works. About 30 establishments based in the Miyama district (kilns, workshops, galleries, eateries, etc.) welcome guests with their proudest creations, and engaging in direct conversation with artisans to learn about the passion poured into their works is the true highlight of this event. At the craft artist booths, visitors can get hands-on experience with craftsmanship that makes daily life a little richer and more delightful. Additionally, at the food court packed with delicacies from across the prefecture, guests can savor a wide variety of gourmet treats. Through on-premise popup stalls at beloved local shops, craft items and foods exclusive to this period gather together, expanding 'everyday Miyama' with 'new enjoyment.' Visitors can also enjoy a digital stamp rally exploring the townscape of Miyama, as well as the 'Gurutto Miyama Transit Pass' that can be exchanged for cafe vouchers or craft works. The international exchange section, 'Miyama and Korea's Connection,' introduces the historical ties between the Miyama district and Korea.
