The 5th Tsukihi Festival in Eguchihama

The "Tsukihi Festival," celebrating Hioki City's seafood specialty "Tsukihi-gai (moon-and-sun scallops)" and the charm of Fukiagehama and Eguchihama, will be held again this year at Eguchihama. Celebrating its 5th edition this year, this festival offers a full day of fun for children and adults alike, not only tasting Tsukihi-gai, but also featuring various seaside experiences, stage performances, and booths by local shops. It aims to have people visit Eguchihama through the appeal of Tsukihi-gai and get to know this sea and region. On the day of the event, food trucks serving dishes made with Tsukihi-gai and hands-on events featuring aquariums and students are scheduled to be significantly expanded. Temporary parking lots will be available around the venue, but since congestion is expected, using public transportation or entering via designated routes is recommended. A free shuttle bus will also operate from Higashi-Ichiki Station on the day.
