Island-Wide Grand Trial Stay Event in Kumejima

An island-wide "Grand Trial Stay Event" will be held in Kumejima Town, Okinawa Prefecture. Located about a 30-minute flight from Naha, Kumejima is an island preserving the wonderful nature and climate of Okinawa, featuring "Hatenohama", a 7 km sandbar floating in the sea, "Tatami-ishi", a nationally designated natural monument, and "Eef Beach", chosen among Japan's Top 100 Beaches. This event targets travel agencies, online travel booking platforms, media, influencers, and general SNS creators, aiming to let them experience the appeal of Kumejima and share it with others. The trial stay is fundamentally a 3-day/2-night program, with 2-day/1-night participation also possible. Accommodations include resort hotels and minshuku guesthouses (including whole-house vacation rentals and traditional kominka houses), and lodging fees are free with breakfast included. In addition to island sightseeing and Hatenohama tours, participants can enjoy a variety of activities for free, including snorkeling, SUP, park golf, shisa making, Yajagama cave ruins tour, Kumejima Tsumugi silk dyeing, and beach horseback riding. A networking gathering will also be held, and applications are open for those who can experience the appeal of Kumejima firsthand and cooperate in sharing its charms.
