About this event
"Let's Walk! Sannohe Walking 2026" is a health promotion project aimed at establishing regular walking exercise habits. In fiscal year 2026 (Reiwa 8), participants will walk while referencing the "Sannohe Old Castle Map" and listening to explanations from history guides about the secrets of the stone walls and the defensive tactics devised by samurai of that era. The walking course covers approximately 5 km (about 8,000 steps), departing from the Sannohe Town Health Center, passing through Tsunagomon Gate, Onkokan, Honmaru Castle Ruins, Shotokaku (rest stop), Bokakutei, Kajiya-gomon Gate, Tomegasaki, and the back of Kujimachi, before returning to the Health Center. Blood pressure checks, Veggie Checks, and bone density measurements will also be conducted at the event, alongside tips for safe walking. During the lunch break, tastings of "Bone-Strengthening Vegetable-Packed Tonjiru Pork Soup" will be offered. Participants must attend in comfortable walking clothes and footwear, and bring hydration drinks and light snacks such as rice balls. In addition, a Sun Card (50 health points) will be awarded.
