Nagawa Autumn Festival 2026, held in Nanbu Town, Aomori Prefecture, is an autumn celebration mainly held in the Tomabechi/Kenyoshi area of Nanbu Town and the outdoor plaza of the Nanbu Traditional Performing Arts Center. It will be held for 3 days from Saturday, September 5 to Monday, September 7, 2026, showcasing processions of culturally rich local performing arts such as joint and free float parades and shrine mikoshi processions. Following the kagura of Suwa Shrine, mikoshi and Gongen-mai will appear to enliven the festival. The now-traditional Morioka Sansa Odori can also be enjoyed. In addition, on Sunday, September 6, the "Nanbu Bread Festival" will be held simultaneously in front of Kenyoshi Station, bringing together popular bakeries from the Sanpachi region. During the period, a variety of events are scheduled, including the Nagawa Junior High School Brass Band Parade, Chigo Procession, Fire Brigade Parade, Nanbu Town Fire Brigade Ladder Climbing Stunts, Nagawa Wind Orchestra Concert, and Nakui Agricultural High School Nagashi-odori (Taru Mikoshi) Parade. "Fuwafuwa Land" will also be held for 3 days at the parking lot in front of Kenyoshi Station, allowing visitors to enjoy events at the festival plaza. It is an event where you can feel the arrival of autumn while fully enjoying the unique local enthusiasm and diverse festivities.
