Ohasama Kagura Day [November: Otsugunai Kagura]

About this event

This is a regular performance where visitors can watch traditional Kagura up close, including Hayachine Kagura handed down in Ohasama, Hanamaki City. On the second Sunday of every month as "Kagura Day," three styles—Take Kagura, Otsugunai Kagura, and Yagimaki Kagura—are performed on a monthly rotation at the Hanamaki City Ohasama Exchange Revitalization Center. This edition features a performance of "Otsugunai Kagura." On the day, doors open at 10:00 AM, the performance runs from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and intermission is from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Admission is 1,000 yen available only as same-day tickets (free for elementary school students and younger), and no reservation is required. In addition, a shared taxi plan called "Kagura-go" will operate from Hanamaki Onsenkyo, Hanamaki Station, and Shin-Hanamaki Station to the venue. This plan costs 7,000 yen (tax included) including the admission ticket, allowing visitors to also enjoy shopping at Wine Chateau Ohasama after the performance.
