Watch, participate, and enjoy! An all-day Sengoku warrior festival! Set at the National Historic Site "Kunohe Castle Ruins," the "Kunohe Castle Festival 2026" lets you experience the passion and power of the Sengoku period. This year, the Kunohe Army and the Nanbu Army clash in a five-match contest! Gripping battles will unfold, including a shouting contest, stacking contest, rice weighing contest, and a yabusame (horseback archery) race where rider and horse become one. Visitors can also join the "Armor Warrior Procession Experience" walking through the castle ruins with armored warriors, or the "Kunohe Castle Tour" guided around the historic site. Enjoy the history and charm of Kunohe Castle while reflecting on the Sengoku era. So, will you side with the Kunohe Army or the Nanbu Army? Step forward and join the battle at Kunohe Castle!
