Kuzumaki Autumn Festival
Japanese name:くずまき秋まつり
📅 Sun, Sep 20, 2026 - Mon, Sep 21, 2026
About this event
With spirited chants, four festival floats from the Chayaba-gumi, Urakonai-gumi, Shinmachi-gumi, and Shitamachi-gumi groups parade through the town. Accompanied by a mikoshi (portable shrine) procession, the elaborately designed floats delight spectators each year. Local performing arts such as Sansa Odori and Nanatsumono are also showcased, adding vibrant color to the festivities. In conjunction with the annual festival of Kuzumaki Hachimangu Shrine, the four groups operate their Nanbu festival floats alongside parades of local folk arts like Nanatsumono and Kagura. Pulled to powerful chants, the autumn festival floats are carried on as a town tradition, drawing many participants from both inside and outside the town.
