Shiogamasama: Moonlight of the Gods

About this event

This is a one-night-only illumination event where visitors can enjoy a mystical world woven from gagaku court music and bamboo lanterns. The faint light of bamboo candles magically illuminates the shrine grounds during the long autumn night, and performing arts such as kagura dance are showcased on the maiden (sacred dance stage). The event may be canceled or part of the venue changed in the event of rain or strong winds.
