In the Sorachi Subprefecture located in central Hokkaido, there are numerous wonderful wineries and vineyards. Amid growing attention toward Hokkaido-produced wine, initiatives utilizing local wine as a tourism resource have begun. In Takikawa City, there are many restaurants capable of serving delicious cuisine that pairs well with Sorachi wine, and in addition to their high reputation, the long-awaited first shipment of wine using Takikawa-grown grapes took place in 2019, followed by the establishment of a brewing facility in 2023, raising expectations and momentum. 'Sorachi Wine x Wine Festa' is an event where rare Sorachi wines gather all in one place, allowing visitors to enjoy marriages with food that complements wine. On the day of the event, there will be live jazz performances, a wine producer talk show, and an exciting lottery where you can win luxurious prizes, alongside live music perfectly suited for a mature ambiance. In addition, an event-exclusive stamp for the Takikawa Circuit Stamp Rally will be set up, giving participants who collect stamps and apply a chance to win deluxe local specialties in a lottery. Advance tickets are 4,000 yen including wine, antipasto, a glass, and a lottery ticket, while same-day admission tickets are 1,000 yen including a glass and a lottery ticket. Wine available for purchase at the venue can be easily enjoyed at 500 to 900 yen per glass (300 yen for non-alcoholic wine).
