About this event
Commemorating the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Kesennuma Corporation Association, a commemorative lecture and talk session by actor Ken Watanabe will be held. Looking towards the future of Kesennuma 15 years after the earthquake disaster, this event aims to rediscover the charm and potential of the region and deliver dreams and hope to the next generation through a lecture by globally active actor Ken Watanabe and a dialogue with young people taking on challenges and actively working in Kesennuma. In the commemorative lecture, Ken Watanabe will speak on the theme of "15 Years Since the Disaster: The World, Japan, and Kesennuma," and in the subsequent talk session, Mr. Watanabe will take the stage alongside young people and UIJ-turn migrants active in Kesennuma. The event consists of two parts, with doors opening at 14:00 and starting at 15:00. Tickets are 500 yen for general admission and free for high school students and younger.
