ART EXHIBITION 2026 "Create: The Reciprocity of Expression"

About this event

This is an exhibition where regions that experienced earthquakes and tsunamis, along with the people involved with them, bring together their respective sensibilities and expressions. In addition to displaying various works, workshops that anyone can easily enjoy will also be held. Both viewing works and creating with one's own hands are important moments to enjoy expression. Please enjoy a time where the joy of expression intersects through encounters between people and works, people and people, and oneself. As a joint art exhibition connecting disaster-affected areas centered around Kesennuma, it is also linked with "Watashira wa Susunde Iku Nen Chotto Zutsu". Based on the concept that we, having lived through the disaster, aim for emotional recovery through the power of art and require relationships supporting one another through art, a joint exhibition of works by artists from Kesennuma City, Kobe City, Suzu City, and regions connected through the disaster will be held. In the workshops, programs such as playing with watercolors, the Kotonoha workshop, making keychains with shrink plastic, the rolling Daruma painting workshop, and completing a picture together are prepared. Dance performances and art talk discussions are also scheduled.
