Based on the philosophy of creating a town blending timeless tradition with current trends, "TOHOKU FASHION AWARD 2026 in Tagajo" is an event that creates opportunities for young people aspiring to be active in the fashion field to gather in Tagajo and refine their fashion sense together. Students from six Tohoku prefectures will express their roots and regional culture through fashion. In addition, a community-participation fashion show will be held simultaneously, where people who live, work, study in, or have ties to Tagajo City will showcase outfits filled with personal thoughts along with their stories. Set against the historical backdrop of Tagajo, this event aims to discover young creators and promote the charms of Tagajo. Through fashion, it aims to rediscover the charm of Tagajo's history, culture, and people's lives woven by predecessors over a thousand years, fostering affection and pride for the region while passing that value on to the next generation.
