About this event
Held in Tomiya City, Miyagi Prefecture, the "2026 Tomigaoka Civic Center Festival" will take place on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at the Tomigaoka Civic Center. Commemorating the 10th anniversary of Tomiya's municipal status, the event features stage presentations and work exhibitions by civic center hobby groups and local residents. In addition, the Miyagi-native manzai comedy duo "Needle" will appear as special guests to liven up the stage. With activities for children such as a Halloween fair, play sessions in the playroom, hands-on workshop corners, and light refreshment stalls, it is an event the whole family can enjoy. A mochimaki (rice cake toss) will be held following the stage performances. Visitors can also sample Chinese tea at the club workshop booth run by the Tomiya City Japan-China Friendship Association. Because parking space is limited, arriving on foot or carpooling is recommended.
