38th Walk in Waraji Straw Sandals in Shichikashuku

About this event

Set in historic Shichikashuku Town, Miyagi Prefecture, this is a 12 km walking event along the "Yamanaka Shichikashuku Kaido," a road once traveled by travelers and merchants. Participants can spend a relaxing time enjoying nature-rich scenery and valuing interaction with people. Participants will be provided with a commemorative event T-shirt, a travel pass token (tsuko-tegata), and a mid-walk snack/treat (a rice ball or a 500 yen Shichikashuku Town gift certificate). Elementary school students and younger can also participate, and Nordic walking poles can be used. With sightseeing spots scattered along the route and parking facilities fully provided, it is an easy-to-enjoy event.
