Held in Shibata Town, Miyagi Prefecture, the "14th Shibata Red Spider Lily Festival" is an early-autumn tradition where approximately 550,000 red spider lilies (higanbana) color Funaoka Castle Ruin Park. The clusters of red spider lilies that beautifully dye the entire venue are a breathtaking sight that captivates visitors. During the period, visitors can enjoy an opening ceremony, a history walk to learn about the history of Funaoka Castle Ruin Park while strolling, and on weekends, stalls and kitchen cars. In addition, water fortunes (mizu-mikuji) will be sold at the hanachozu (floral water basin) held daily throughout the period. Viewing is free of charge with open admission.
